Speech stopped working

Somewhere along the line, probably after an OS update, the speech function stopped working. Deleted the app and all of the related files I could find (e.g., Application Support/), reinstalled, still does not work.

Clicked the support link here in the App Store page. Took me to what appears to be a Chinese language web site. I don’t read Chinese.

The lookup functionality is okay. Seems to be based on the same web based translations as most translation apps these days. Nothing special there.

App has not been updated in four years. Has it been abandoned?
