Since Google hasn’t made an official Mac app (though they should), this works just fine. My only request would be a Yosemite-like interface for those users. It looks kinda out-of-place.

It was good for a short time. The voice stopped working even after I have reinstalled the app. Could not find any suggestions or ways to fix it and the “preference” is not active. Also, the support page is in Chinese. It is not helpful, unfortunately...
Doesn’t work only produces the same error mesaage evrytime and as such is a waste of my time…. The operation couldn’t be completed. (NSURLErrorDomain error 503.)
This worked great until recently;now it does not work at all.Keep getting NSURLErrorDomain error503.Support website is in Chinese only. I do not know what to do about this issue
WHen I try to use this, I get this message The operation couldn’t be completed. (NSURLErrorDomain error 503.) WTF??
This app is useless. Worked perfectly for a while. Now receive domain error messages. Voice and Translation don’t function. Sentences and paragraphs are not translated correctly.
it won’t work, it just quits unexpectedly when ever i try to use it
Finally tried to use it but it either crashes before I can even finish trying a word or phase or gives an error (NSURLError Domain error 503.) Disappointing.
It did work great. Now just getting an error message or just crashes. Support page is in Korean or Chinese…. what a waste!!!
Crashes immediately on translation request. I guess its true, you get nothing for nothing. Using OSX El Capitan
This app rated 0 stars, but that is not an option. I wanted to test this app for accuracy of translation since I am fluent in English and French. I type a sentence in English and then, before the translation begins, the app crashes. I tried several times, with no success. I receive the following error: The operation couldn’t be completed. (NSURLErrorDomain error 503.) The "Universal Translator Support" takes you to Nibirutech’s home page, which only has games in its menus, nothing about the translator or support.
I just started learning Spanish n this comes quite useful when I wanna check the pronunciation. But like other translators, you cant use this for real translation. Even with a short sentence, this can be wrong. Still great considring this is for free.
The app would be crashed while translating. There should be a bug. Please fix it and then I will rate as 5 star .
Thanks for this usefull soft .Sinds the last upgrading there are some problems . Start to translate some text and it crashes . The error message is as fellow : NSURL error DOMAIN 503 . Please if possible repair the error . I am Belgian living in Japan for many years and use this software regulary . I allways make translations from Duth to Japanese . Thank You very much . MANNEKEN from japan
The browser plug-ins that use the Google translation has more settings than this app. Sound pitch, speaking speed and etc.
Working nicely till beginning of October 2015, and then I have permanently "The operation couldn’t be completed. (NSURLErrorDomain error 503.)” result - at once or after I use translator 2-3 times with a success. Today it’s practically useless… No support, support website in Chinese. I will wait few days longer and if no patch or news I will trash Universal Translator! The operation couldn’t be completed. (NSURLErrorDomain error 503.)
The same issue started at 3rd of November.
It was fantastic app, but now is mostly useless - error 503 , no support , no website
In the beginning have been working very well. After some weeks I have following error: NSURLErrorDomain error 503.
Shoud work on design to make it cleaner and according to Apples HIG.
