Typed “Hello” to translate to Japanese and it crashed.

no work here

Nothing works. Not even the help button. Not even the ‘Universal Translator Support’. The operation couldn’t be completed. (NSURLErrorDomain error 503.)

UNIVERSAL TRANSLATOR

THIS WAS MY GO TO PROGRAM. I HAVE USED IT FOR A LONG TIME. I GAVE IT 5 STARS. HOWEVER WHEN I WENT TO USE IT I GOT "The operation couldn’t be completed. (NSURLErrorDomain error 503.)” I TRIED TO DOWN LOAD IT TWICE AND I STILL GET THE SAME ERROR MESSAGE ON THE MOST SIMPLE WORDS. PLEASE HELP ME AND FIND THE PROBLEM. I AM THINKING IT IS BECAUSE I HAVE UPGRADED TO VERSION 10.11.1 ON MY MAC tried to reload the program and it worked 5 times and then totally crashed. I deleted the program and will look else where. DEC 24 2015 I just tried it again and it still crashes. I hope they fix the problem as it was a VERY good program thaq ti used a lot

Use to be great, but now doesn’t work very well.

Used to love this app, but now it doesnt work most of the time. Keep receiving a “NSURLErrorDomain error 503” about every other time I try to use it. It must be going out to Google or someplace and the the API is failing. If they would just fix the error it would be a 5 star app again.

Help, HOW DO I GET HELP? MY UNIVERSAL TRANSLATOR WORKED GREAT, I GAVE IT FIVE STARS.

HOW DO I GET HELP NOW THAT MY UNIVERSAL TRANSLATOR NO LONGER WORKS CORRECTLY. IT DOES NOT SPEACK EVER ANY MORE.

Constant errors...

The default is English to Spanish, which works a few times, then I got some error message. Any time I switch to a different language, error messages. Nice idea, nice design, but if it won’t run, it’s not useful. If an update made it stable and actually useful in the real business world, I’d change this review immediatly.

This app was working perfect until I upgraded to El Capitan.

Don’t get me wrong, this app was working absolutely great until I updated my system from Yosemite to El Capitan. So I had to rely on the internet for translation in Spanish. App Developer: IF YOU ARE READING THIS, I KEEP GETTING THE FOLLOWING MESSAGE AFTER 5 MINUTES OF USE: "The operation couldn’t be completed. (NSURLErrorDomain error 503.)."

Where Did they go?

Started receiving the following error: The operation Couldn’t be completed. (NSURLErrorDomain error 503.) When clicking within the software for “support” and provide feedback you get an error “404 Not Found” for nibirutech.com. Seems the server no longer serves and support no longer supports. Lamentable.

Dead App - Dead Company

Once upon a time this was a great utility. Clearly no longer supported and the constant error "The operation couldn’t be completed. (NSURLErrorDomain error 503.)” HELLO APP STORE, remove this app already!!!

No Longer Supported & Crashes

As has been said elsewhere, the app crashes all the time and generates the error message INSURLErrorDomain, 503. The support page is in Chinese and there is no response to frequent emails asking about a fix. This is a real shame, because when the app used to work it did a very acceptable job of translating between English and Russian for me. I’m now back to using Google Translator, which is mediocre at best and downright useless for anything other than the most pedestrian and simplistic words and sentences.

Translator gets 503 error and does not work!!!

I had high hopes for this translator. But after about 15 minutes, it quit working and consistently displays a 503 error message. My advice, avoid this translator. Guess you get what you pay for it was free.

5 stars to 1 star

I changed my review because this applicaition has some serious networking issues.

Doesn’t work

I have tried to make this app work. Deleted it and reinstalled. I keep getting this message: (NSURLErrorDomain error 503.) Does anyone know why? or how to make this work.

From AMAZING to USELESS

For the past two years, I would use it regularly, and it translated superbly. Within the recent few months, it would stop working after a short time with an message "The operation couldn’t be completed. (NSURLErrorDomain error 503.)”. Now, it doesn’t work at all. I tried deleting and reloading the app, but that was fruitless. I tried contacting the parent company, but their website is in a language that I cant translate. This app used to be completely amazing, but now its completely USELESS.

Speech stopped working

Somewhere along the line, probably after an OS update, the speech function stopped working. Deleted the app and all of the related files I could find (e.g., Application Support/), reinstalled, still does not work. Clicked the support link here in the App Store page. Took me to what appears to be a Chinese language web site. I don’t read Chinese. The lookup functionality is okay. Seems to be based on the same web based translations as most translation apps these days. Nothing special there. App has not been updated in four years. Has it been abandoned?

Sometimes Works.

Useful when it does work. Sometimes gives error messages instead. Support page is full of painful animation.

Keep craching down

It worked two times, then it stopped working after I tried the dictionary part. It kept saying "The operation couldn’t be completed. (NSURLErrorDomain error 503.)” evey time I insert a word to have it translate. I removed the app and reinstalled it. I removed preference file. Nothing works. Please fix this for me. I use Macbook Pro 2014 version.

Good one but crashing

Sounds like a good app but couldn’t use it due to crashing everytime i use it for Hindi to English and vice-versa translation. Haven’t tried other languages yet. Mine is latest El Capitan osx.

What’s up?

I have used this app for a long time, and have no issues with it. However, recently all I do is type in a few characters, and it crashes. And when I try to contact support, I am redirected to a Chinese games website. Guess I’m dumping it and going back to Google Translate. Thanks for nothing.

Works well when it’s not crashing

Good English -> German translation with popular syntax. Chronic long-term problem with crashes approaching 100%. Frustrating. I’ll try another program.
